“Moonlight” venceu hoje o Óscar de melhor filme, numa cerimónia em que “La La Land” conquistou seis estatuetas, incluindo melhor realizador e melhor atriz. “Moonlight”, contracenado por Mahershala Ali e Naomie Harris, conta a história de um jovem afro-americano que luta para encontrar o seu lugar à medida que cresce em Miami. “Moonlight” acabou por ser anunciado como vencedor do maior prémio da noite depois de uma confusão gerada na cerimónia, na sequência de “La La Land” ter sido erroneamente anunciado como o melhor filme e a equipa da produção ter chegado a entrar em palco. O ator Casey Affleck foi hoje distinguido com o Óscar de melhor ator principal, pela interpretação em “Manchester by the sea”, enquanto na categoria feminina foi premiada Emma Stone, por “La La Land”. Casey Affleck agradeceu aos restantes nomeados, em particular a Denzel Washington (nomeado por “Vedações”, que também realizava), e sublinhou desejar “ter algo maior e mais significativo para dizer”. Por seu lado, a estatueta atribuída a Emma Stone foi a sexta para “La La Land: Melodia de Amor”, filme nomeado em 14 categorias.
